an old woman got on the subway
a girl stood up
the girl said that the old woman could sit down
the old woman said no
the girl said that she was getting off in a few stops anyway and that
the old woman could really sit down
the old woman looked at the girl
the old woman sat down
i looked at the old woman
i thought about whether or not the old woman was happy
i thought about how when i want to give my seat to someone i just
stand up and don't say anything
i thought about what would happen if i whispered 'you're a bitch' to the girl
