  1. Use your name, or a consistent pseudonym.

  2. Don’t share links to texts you haven’t read or videos you haven’t watched.*

  3. Don’t ask others to buy what you haven’t bought.

  4. Don’t ask others to donate money to a person or organization you haven’t donated money to.

  5. Don’t care about websites; care about individuals.

  6. Never post a quotation without referencing—or ideally, linking—its source.

  7. If you love a living person’s work, email that person saying so.

* Ideally: Only share links to texts you have read or videos you have watched at least twice.
